Cave Tubing – An Interesting Addition to Your Family Vacation
If you’re planning a family vacation or holiday to Belize in the Western Caribbean, consider adding cave tubing as a day trip or excursion to your cruise or other holiday trip.
It was first introduced to cruise ship passengers in the 1990s and has since become a very popular excursion.
Have you ever been cave tubing in Belize? Or, anywhere else for that matter?
I haven’t … in fact, I didn’t even know that there was such a thing until quite recently … but it does sound like a fun thing to do!
Generally, you can expect an easy 30-minute hike through well-traveled paths in the rain forest before you arrive at the spectacular caves.
Then, you’ll tour the caves – sitting on your inner tube and wearing a spelunker’s light so that you can see the various crystals, stalactites, and other natural wonders in the otherwise pitch-black darkness of the caves.
Your Virtual Cave Tubing Excursion
When you emerge from the caves, you’re right back at your starting point, for an easy return to your transportation.
PS: Be sure to take a waterproof camera with you!
